It’s easy to list the features of your business, but what about the benefits? Don’t leave it to you customers to work out how you’ll help them, make sure you say it.

Identify what makes your business different - your unique selling points - and then tell everyone about them.

Encourage existing customers to recommend your business. Nothing’s stronger than a recommendation.

Think big, but don’t forget where you came from. Be involved in the local press, attend events, sponsor a football team or donate raffle prizes - just get yourself known.

Plan your strategy - make sure you know where you’re going, and feed lessons learned into future plans.
